Abandoned Cart

The Abandoned Cart section within the Automations and Emails settings offers a centralized space for customizing and managing the content of emails related to abandoned carts in your venue. This feature allows you to personalize and refine the communication sent to customers if they start, but do not finish, the booking process. To access the Abandoned Cart section, follow these step points:

  • Navigate to the Main Navigation Menu of the Venue Owner Dashboard.
  • Click on “Automations” to access automated processes.
  • Under “Emails,” select “Abandoned Cart” to enter the dedicated interface for configuring abandoned cart-related emails.

“These legends contain “codes” that will appear “normally” to your customers. i.e. if you choose %total_amount% and place it in your email. Wherever you place this the customers will see the word Total Amount followed by the amount related to the booking they did not complete.

The following are the legends used in Booking Email templates:

  • %customer_name%: Displays the customer’s name.
  • %booking_date%: Displays the date of the booking.
  • %booking_time%: Shows the time of the booking.
  • %url%: Creates the link to redirect the customer back to the booking process.
  • %total_amount%: Indicates the total amount of the abandoned cart.

These legends are placeholders that get replaced with actual data when the email is sent. Make sure to save your changes after modifying the email template.

In this section, you encounter a default easy template that serves as a starting point for your email content. You have the flexibility to modify the text and legends within this default template to align with your specific needs. Additionally, if you prefer to start from scratch, you can remove the entire template and craft your personalized version.

For added convenience, the “SET DEFAULT CONTENT” button is available to quickly restore the default template, providing a reliable baseline for your email communication. This feature ensures that you can easily revert to the initial content structure whenever necessary.

Ensure to click on the “SAVE” button after making any modifications to your email content. This action is crucial to preserve and apply the changes you’ve made, ensuring that your customized content is successfully stored and ready for use.

Error Messages

The Error Messages section allows you to manage notifications shown to customers when their booking request exceeds available lane capacity.

Dynamic placeholders like %People% and %Lanes% automatically adjust based on booking details. Enable Continue let customers proceed with a modified booking, while Enable Refresh allows them to restart the process.

Be sure to click Save to apply any changes.

Booking Page

The Booking Form Settings section allows you to customize how customers make reservations. Here, you can enable child bookings, adjust booking increments for large groups, and allow mobile event bookings by collecting an event address. Be sure to click Submit to save any changes.

Abandoned Cart Email

The Abandoned Cart Email section provides an overview of potential customers who started a booking but didn’t complete their purchase. This list includes details like the lane, booking type, customer information, total cost, and when the cart was abandoned. You’ll also see the Email Status, indicating whether a follow-up email was sent, and the Booking Status, showing if the customer later completed their reservation. This helps track engagement and follow up with customers who may still be interested in booking.

Dashboard

The dashboard provides a quick and easy way to monitor your venue’s bookings, lanes, and key performance indicators. This guide will walk you through each section of the Dashboard.

The Lanes Setup section allows you to configure and manage your lanes. You can activate booking types, set lane prices, and add time slots.

  • Activate Booking Type: Enable different booking types for each lane.
  • Add Lane Prices: Set the pricing for each lane.
  • Add Time Slots: Define available time slots for bookings.

The Booking Overview section provides a visual representation of booking trends over time. This chart helps you monitor your venue’s performance and identify peak periods.

The Booking Calendar displays all scheduled bookings in a monthly view. Each entry shows the time and details of the reservation, making it easy to track availability and manage bookings.

On the left sidebar, you’ll find quick access to other important sections, including:

  • Bookings: Manage all reservations.

  • Clicking on the “Today” button will instantly bring you back to the current day’s view on the calendar. This feature is especially useful if you have navigated to different dates and want to quickly return to see the bookings and schedule for the present day.
  • Two navigation buttons enable you to seamlessly navigate through the calendar by moving forward or backward in time. These buttons can be used to switch between different months, weeks, and days, providing an easy way to view and manage bookings for various time periods.
  • Clicking on any day will display a full day view, showcasing all bookings made for that specific day, regardless of the time.
  • You can view all bookings scheduled for that particular day.
  • Bookings are highlighted in colors on the calendar.
  • To edit a booking, simply click on the edit icon associated with that booking.
  • Within the booking editing interface, you can modify any details related to the booking as needed.
  • To view a booking, simply click on the View icon associated with that booking.
  • In this section, you can review all the details associated with the booking.

You can see that bookings are displayed in different colors. These colors correspond to the booking type selected by customers when making their bookings.

This color-coding helps easily distinguish between various booking types on the calendar.

In the backend, we have the pink color associated with the 1-hour booking type, so any booking made for 1 hour will appear in pink. Similarly, the dark blue color is associated with the 1.5-hour booking type, and bookings made for 1.5 hours will be highlighted in dark blue.

You can follow this article to change the display color for bookings.

Below is a screenshot providing a quick view of where you can access and modify booking type colors.
